As an emerging singer/song writer Delta Goodrem is an Australian artist who is likely to hit the big time with her collection of beautiful ballads and in your-face pop. With her first record ever bought being Michael Jackson it is no wonder that she is a singer with edge. When she is not performing or writing her own songs she likes nothing better than to sit around watching AFL or playing basketball with her friends. But along with this active and edgy character Delta is a self-confessed "sook", crying at the TV and being an all round gentle and kind person, a characteristic that many adore in her.
Delta"s favourite movie is "Grease" and still listens to Olivia Newton-John, the female star of the film. Along with Olivia Newton-John her favourite musician is Janet Jackson showing a love for a variety or music, resulting in the fact that she can"t even pick a favourite song.
"It changes all the time I listen to such a variety of music I can't choose."

With music as her first passion, acting comes in a close second. With all of her experience in the entertainment business it is no surprise that her favourite TV shows are "Bewitched" or "I dream of Genie" classic shows from and era when TV was the way forward and acting was a long sought after talent. But in the modern cinema it is Julia Roberts who Delta admires and it would be Miss Roberts or Charlie Theron that would get the opportunity to play Miss Goodrem in a film all about her life. However if Delta was to star in a movie herself she would like it to be a reworking or Grease or a variation on the superhero genre. With her love of singing, dancing and acting if she was unable to do any of them she would probably have little reason to enjoy life but that does not mean that her life revolves around her work. With Neighbours taking up the day time and any spare time spent recording her debut album, due for release in spring 2003, life is certainly full. On her days of she tries to post messages to her fans on her official forum (www.deltagoodrem.com) and have a rest getting to indulge in herself and her love of all things sweet especially chocolate. With such a hard schedule we can let Delta of for loving to sleep in especially when she is not particularly a morning person. With the imminent release of her album those mornings are going to become a more prominent feature of Delta's every day life.
